Derek Andersen is the Senior Content Marketing & SEO Manager at Invoca. He has 9+ years of experience writing about search marketing, martech, and AI, and has authored hundreds of blog posts and articles. As the leader of Invoca's SEO and AEO functions, he is passionate about all things organic search and has grown the blog's readership throughout his tenure.
Derek is an alum of Illinois Wesleyan University, where he double-majored in creative writing and marketing and competed in cross-country and track. Since graduation, he has worked in copywriting and SEO positions at Sphere Software as well as DialogTech, which was acquired by Invoca in 2021.
Derek lives in Chicago with his wife. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, going to concerts (he is a regular at Riot Fest), exploring new restaurants, and running on the lakefront trail.
